Manscaping

Why manscape?  What motivates young men to manscape?  What do young women think?

  1. Men who shave their bodies= huge turnoff. Why would I be attracted to a man who has less hair than me? Personally, it seems like a sign of insecurity.

I agree with the comment above; i remember the swimmers at my high school and how they would have these huge "shaving parties" and shave each other(both guys and girls) of basically all body hair...besides genitalia. I found it bizarre that the guys were comfortable with these smooth arms and legs; I feel like a lot of kids at my school did find this a little odd and even leaning toward homosexuality.

  3. I do not like men who have hair on their chest at all!!!! I definitely wouldn't want a man to shave his legs and armpits or anything like that though!

  4. Guys who don’t trim their pubic hair fall into two camps. "The first is the alpha male who thinks maintenance beyond shaving his face is gay," says clinical psychologist Belisa Vranich, PsyD. He's traditional and chivalrous, so don’t expect much experimentation in bed beyond the missionary position. "The other type of guy is sweet but lazy," says Vranich. "He's open to trying naughty moves if you take the lead...and as long as he doesn't have to do too much work."

  6. I don't like when guys shave their legs, arms, or wax their eyebrows I do prefer that they shave or at least trim their pubic hair. I def want him to take care of himself "down there" (I feel pubic hair is just gross and don't want my mouth anywhere near it) but I feel shaving anything else is a bit too metrosexual for my taste.

I really don't know what drives men to manscape. I don't get it! I use to date this guy with thick eyebrows and he would always ask me what I thought about him waxing them, he didn't like them but I personally found it pretty hot, it makes them look very manly very rugged...I also think chest hair is not too bad

  7. i think when guys shave their arms and legs its just too much and its not attractive. i agree with the above post trimming and shaving their pubic hair is good enough. To me men are suppose to have hair on their legs and their arms. The only exceptions are hairy backs its not attractive or very bushy eyebrows that resemble a unibrow. clean it up but don't get them shape that too girlish.

I think that a man with hair on his body is very attractive, however, I do not find it attractive when the hair is out of control. Men need to keep their stuff trimmed

  9. My boyfriend shaves his chest hair and every time I find out he does I get really upset with him. He doesn't even have that much and I like it. I don't know exactly why but I love his chest hair!

I agree with the above comment. Once, my boyfriend shaved some of his body hair and I was also kind of upset. I'm not sure why though.

  11. So is the deal that girls took on the Brazilian wax to get guys to go down on them in casual encounters and then the pressure built on guys to take off their pubic hair. Tit for tat, so to speak? Is that how it went down?

I believe so. I feel that if we have to take care of ourselves down there, so should men and I think they're catching on to that.

I agree with the above statement. I think that if we are expected to take care of those kinds of things then so should men. I shave because I dont like hair on my body and I dont like it much on men either. Hairy chests and backs are gross, and over bushy pubic hair is disgusting. I dont feel guys need to shave as much as women because they just naturally but should definately at least trim a bit

I agree with the above comment. I shave because I don't like body hair, but that's a personal preference. But I think men should trim their public hair because otherwise that's disgusting. Other body hair like arms, armpits and legs don't bother me as much, but back and chest hair should definitely be managed. Unibrows too.

  15. Woman

What do men think about pubic hair? What if a woman doesn't want to shave "down there"? Is it possible for a woman to trim to keep it "under control" or is the deal all or nothing?
